About CanOAUG:

Welcome to Canada’s Oracle Applications User Group – CanOAUG. We are a group of financial, consulting, and information systems professionals dedicated to increasing knowledge and understanding of Oracle Applications in Canada. This site has been formed for the functional user to hear topics specific to their needs and to network with other users in their local area. We are affiliated with the regional Canadian OAUG sites in Vancouver, Calgary, Southern Ontario, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax (Atlantic).

CanOAUG is open to all licensed Oracle Applications users and professionals in Canada. This site provides the latest information on Oracle Applications and related products and serves as a link between Applications users in Canada and Oracle Corporation.

CanOAUG’s purpose is to primarily offer a forum for Oracle Applications users to discuss implementations of business processes using the software.

Organization Profile:

CanOAUG, an affiliate of the OAUG, is independent of Oracle Corporation. Based upon member suggestions, our group prepares and facilitates meetings, and communicates information throughout the membership with the goal of producing an active and successful user group.

Charter:

CanOAUG is a national geographic users group dedicated to provide its members with various benefits, including but not limited to speaker presentations, hands-on demonstrations of Oracle Applications products, vendor presentations/exhibits, and time for networking with others in the Oracle user community within Canada.

The organization was formed to provide a forum for sharing information and experiences regarding the selection, implementation and effective use of Oracle Applications. Along with the 6 regional Canadian Oracle User Groups, CanOAUG focuses on providing its members with education and information regarding Oracle. It also provides members with a means of submitting product enhancement requests to Oracle Corporation. In turn, the group communicates to its members, future product directions.

Statement of Purpose

The Canadian ORACLE User Group (CanOUG) was created to perform the following functions:

• Enable communication among users and vendors of the ORACLE Applications or persons interested in pursuing further information about ORACLE and its products and services.
• Provide an exchange mechanism for information from the ORACLE Corporation or third parties with supporting products to the user community.
